Equality in diversity - In the recent years Europe has been threatened by terrorist attacks that are often linked with an extremist form of Islam. As a result some Member States have taken measures such as burqa bans to increase the safety of its citizens. Taking into account that right to freedom of religion is protected by art. 10 of the EU Charter, which measures should the EU take to protect its citizens whilst at the same time safeguarding the fundamental human rights of all actors involved?
