With recent polls indicating a decreasing public support for nuclear power as a CO2-neutral and efficient way to produce energy after the Fukushima accident and a varying acceptance amongst Member States, how can the EU ensure the safety of nuclear power plants and further pursue shutdown plans whilst working towards a CO2-neutral energy supply in order to meet the agree-ment of the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris?
