Within the ongoing negotiations on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, the harmonisation of food standards between the USA and the EU has caused apprehension amongst the EU population. How can the EU ensure adequate food quality and safety, whilst constructing closer trade relations with the USA?
