While the EU is becoming more and more transparent and open to citizens as well as visible and approachable on social media, 44% of Europeans are pessimistic about the future of the EU, one in four Europeans indicates to have a negative image of the EU and the voter turnout for the last EP election has been rather low with only 42,5% Europeans voting. What approach should the EU and its institutions further take to improve its image among EU citizens?
