In the past few months, an increasing number of terrorist attacks have been planned and executed by fundamentalist individuals. Following these events, the question of more severe border controls is arising again, especially in Central Europe. With the Schengen Area once again at risk, how can European states improve cross-border cooperation without losing the achievement of free movement?
